5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies on our website to provide core functionality, analyse site usage, and support our marketing efforts. Cookies are small data files stored on your device that help us recognise you and remember your preferences across visits.

The types of cookies we use include:

Essential cookies — necessary for the website to function (e.g. your shopping cart)

Analytics cookies — to understand how visitors use our site (e.g. Google Analytics)

Marketing cookies — to help us deliver relevant advertisements

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Please note that disabling certain cookies may affect the functionality of our website.

To opt out of Google Analytics, you may install Google's opt-out browser add-on at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

To manage interest-based advertising on Instagram or Google, visit your account settings on the respective platform.

Our website does not currently respond to Do Not Track browser signals. However, you retain the right to manage your data preferences through the methods described above and in Section 7 below.

6. Cross-Border Data Transfers

As we operate on Shopify's global platform, your personal data may be processed and stored on servers located outside Singapore, including in the United States or Canada. Some of these jurisdictions may have data protection laws that differ from Singapore's PDPA.

Where your data is transferred outside Singapore, we take appropriate steps to ensure it remains protected — including requiring contractual safeguards from our service providers. Shopify maintains its own data protection commitments, details of which are available at shopify.com/legal/privacy.

Further information on the safeguards we have in place can be provided upon request.

7. Your Rights and Choices

Access and Correction

You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you and to request corrections if it is inaccurate or incomplete. To do so, log into your account and update your profile, or contact us at cs@activeliberated.com. We will respond within 10 business days.

Withdrawal of Consent

Where processing is based on your consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time by contacting us at cs@activeliberated.com. We will action your request within 10 business days. Please note that withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.

Unsubscribing from Marketing

You may unsubscribe from our marketing emails at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email, or by writing to us at cs@activeliberated.com. We will process your request within 10 business days.

Do Not Call Registry (Singapore)

If you are a Singapore resident and you have registered your telephone number with the Do Not Call (DNC) Registry, we will not send you marketing messages via SMS or phone call unless you have given us your express consent to do so.

Deletion of Personal Data

You have the right to request deletion of your personal data, subject to any legal or regulatory obligation we may have to retain it. To make a deletion request, please write to us at cs@activeliberated.com. We will process your request within 30 days and confirm once complete. Please note that deleting your data will mean we are no longer able to process any outstanding orders or provide account-related services.

8. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected — including providing our services, complying with our legal obligations, and resolving disputes.

When your personal data is no longer required, we will securely destroy or anonymise it. Retention periods vary depending on the type of data and the purpose for which it was collected. For example, transaction records may be retained for up to seven years to comply with financial regulations.

9. Data Security

We take the security of your personal data seriously. We apply industry-standard technical and organisational measures to protect your data from unauthorised access, use, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. These include encryption in transit, access controls, and regular security reviews of our systems and service providers.

Where you have created an account with a password, you are responsible for keeping your password confidential. We strongly recommend that you do not share it with anyone.

While we take every reasonable precaution, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure. In the event of a data breach that is likely to result in significant harm to you, we will notify the Personal Data Protection Commission (PDPC) and, where required, notify you directly — in accordance with Singapore's mandatory data breach notification obligations under the PDPA.

10. Third-Party Links

Our website may contain links to third-party websites. These sites operate independently and are not governed by this Policy. We are not responsible for their privacy practices and encourage you to review their policies before providing any personal information.

11. Shopify’s Role in Processing Your Data

Our website and store are hosted and powered by Shopify Inc. ("Shopify"). As our e-commerce platform provider, Shopify collects and processes certain personal data about your interactions with our store independently, in its capacity as a data controller. This includes data collected through Shopify’s platform infrastructure, analytics tools, and enhanced merchant features, which may involve data from your interactions with other Shopify merchants and websites.

For personal data processed by Shopify in this capacity, Shopify is responsible for responding to your requests to exercise your rights. To learn more about how Shopify uses your personal data and to exercise your rights in relation to Shopify’s processing, please visit the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy at shopify.com/legal/privacy or the Shopify Privacy Portal at privacy.shopify.com.

12. Additional Rights

Right of Data Portability

You may have the right to receive a copy of the personal data we hold about you in a structured, commonly used format, and to request that we transfer it to a third party where technically feasible. To make a portability request, please contact us at cs@activeliberated.com. We will respond within 10 business days.

Authorised Agent Requests

You may designate an authorised agent to submit privacy requests on your behalf. Before we process any such request, we will require the agent to provide proof of your authorisation, and we may contact you directly to verify your identity. This safeguard is in place to protect your personal data from unauthorised access or alteration.

Non-Discrimination

We will never discriminate against you for exercising any of your privacy rights. Your access to our products, services, and community will not be affected by any request you make in relation to your personal data.

Complaints and the PDPC

If you have a concern about how we handle your personal data and are not satisfied with our response, you have the right to lodge a complaint with Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Commission (PDPC) at pdpc.gov.sg. We take all complaints seriously and will work with you to reach a fair resolution.

13. Amendments to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal requirements. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this Policy periodically. Your continued use of our services after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Policy.
