We call it a desk job, but how much of an ordinary workday do you actually spend sitting at your desk?
There's the commute in, the walk to a meeting on another floor, standing while you wait for the lift, reaching for a file on a high shelf, carrying your laptop bag from one end of the office to the other, the walk to get lunch, and maybe an errand squeezed in on the way home. None of that needs to be called exercise. It is still movement.
And whatever you're wearing underneath your work clothes has to keep up with all of that, without becoming something you have to think about, adjust, or work around by the afternoon.
What Should a Daily Bra Actually Do on a Workday?
If you're looking for a comfortable wireless bra for work, these are the things I'd look at first.
1. Stay comfortable while you're sitting
A workday can mean hours at a desk, in meetings or in the car. Wireless construction matters here, especially when you're sitting, bending or leaning over a desk for long periods.
2. Stay supportive when you get up and move
Your bra still needs to feel supportive when you walk between rooms, reach for something, carry a bag or move around the office. A comfortable bra for work shouldn't only feel right when you're sitting still.
3. Work under the clothes you actually wear
A bra for work is not only about support. Coverage, strap width and overall silhouette matter too — especially under fitted tops, blouses and dresses.
4. Not become something you have to keep fixing
Pay attention to how often you find yourself adjusting it. If you're reaching under your blouse to move a strap, reposition the cups or fix the band, the bra has become part of your day in the wrong way.
So what makes a good bra for work? It needs to make sense for the whole day, not just the hours you spend at your desk.
A Different Job From a Workout Bra
That is a different job from a bra you reach for when you're heading to a workout.
A daily bra has to live in the in-between: the hours spent working, commuting, moving around and getting on with everything else.

What Does Your Workday Ask of Your Bra?
Your workday probably isn't as stationary as the words "desk job" make it sound. And your bra shouldn't be something you have to think about every time you get up and move.
What does your workday actually ask of what you're wearing underneath? We'd love to hear what you've noticed. It helps us decide what to make next.
